This Featured Project documents a residential home in Helensvale on the Gold Coast, where Double Glazing Masters partnered with the homeowner over a seven-year period to progressively upgrade the property’s windows and doors. Completed in November 2025, the project reflects a long-term, considered approach to improving comfort, security and aesthetics while maintaining a consistent design language throughout the home.

The Client’s Brief

Situated on a busy main road, the client was experiencing ongoing issues with intrusive external noise and was also seeking improved security. Importantly, they wanted to achieve these outcomes without relying on traditional security screens, which they felt detracted from the appearance of the home.

The brief was to deliver a glazing solution that provided meaningful noise reduction, enhanced security and a clean, modern finish, while allowing the upgrades to be completed in stages over time.
The DGM Solution
Double Glazing Masters specified a tailored glazing solution using aluplast uPVC Window & Door profiles, paired with Viridian double glazed glass, to ensure long-term performance, durability and visual consistency.

The completed installation included:

Each stage of the project was carefully specified to integrate seamlessly with previous installations, resulting in a cohesive finish across the entire property.
Installation Highlights

Rather than being completed in a single installation, this project was delivered across four separate stages over seven years, allowing the client to progressively upgrade their home at a pace that suited them and in line with the overall renovation of their home.

One of the most striking features is the bay window at the front of the property, which now serves as a standout architectural element while delivering noticeable improvements in acoustic performance and comfort.

This staged approach ensured minimal disruption while maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship throughout each phase.
