The clients main objective was to reduce aircraft noise as a result of the new Brisbane Airport runway. The other benefits are also appreciated, but creating some additional sound barrier was key. Another feature this client desired was the ability to clean the windows from inside with ease, which is why it was decided the DGM Tilt & Turn unit was the best solution for some of their windows.

Lessening Acoustic Transmission

Double Glazing is famed for its Noise Reduction. It stands to reason when you consider the thicker the material, the less noise can penetrate. UPVC also is better at minimising the Acoustic Transmission due to its denser makeup to that of aluminium.
